Turmeric heals migraine

Recently I woke up w/a migraine and took the OTC that has worked best for me for 17 years. After 6 hours when it was time to take 2 more gel tabs, I made myself a turmeric ginger latte’ to see what kind of effect it would have on my migraine in place of the OTC. I’ve been using either fresh turmeric or organic turmeric powder in my weekly after workout smoothie for years (I average one smoothie per week, preferring a non-liquid meal) to reduce inflammation & help heal tissues. I was pleasantly surprised by how utterly delicious and comforting the latte’ was while sipping it faster than my morning coffee. I could feel my head pain and nausea starting to subside in about 30 minutes. My neck and shoulder muscles felt like they were loosening up a bit after a couple of hours. By that evening I felt I was on the road to rapid recovery and decided to make one more latte’ for the day, completely stopping the OTC for the remainder of the migraine. The next morning I woke up with hardly and head and neck pain at all! Since my nausea was minimal, I felt good enough to go for a walk. I decided to make 2 latte’s the second day, continuing on the more natural method of healing. By the third day I was fully recovered from all symptoms. Normally my migraines last three days.
